End of daylight saving!

I love summer with its warm weather and gloriously long days. But we’re now in Autumn with the days getting shorter and from tomorrow they’ll be even shorter with daylight saving finishing tonight.

I’m currently reading Prue Sobers’ Makeda – what are you reading this weekend? And are you a fan of daylight saving?

  1. Hi Joanne, I’m with you – I’m a summer girl. I love, love, love it. As an adult I’ve always been sad when school resumed because it meant that summer was entering its last phase. And when October hits I’m so excited because for me, that heralds summer is almost here.

Having said that, I adore the actual climate of autumn and spring. What’s not to love about cool mornings and evenings and warm days of autumn? Spring always energises me – I’m unstoppable in spring! LOL. But again, that’s in part because summer is nigh!

Winter? Blech. I’m always cold. if I could spend every winter curled up in front of a roaring fire, I’d be in heaven, but I can’t and for me the cold is painful. I wasn’t built for winter…

So, am I happy about the end of d/light saving? Nah, not really. Means another summer has passed… Sigh…

Reading this weekend? Hmmn reading… What’s that? πŸ™‚ With a book to promote, another due in ten weeks and a third proposal overdue, I think I’ve lost track of reading anything but what’s on my screen!!! LOL

However, I am sneaking out to Jaye Ford’s book signing this morning and while I already have her new book, ‘Scared Yet?’ (Random House), I’m going to buy another couple as gifts. At about 1 this morn when I crawled into bed, I flicked on my trusty little torch (so as not to wake the sleeping hub beside me) and inhaled a few pages. Brilliant!

Have a great weekend with your own reading.

    • I def agree winter can be bleugh except when in front of fire with a good book and glass of wine – lush!!! πŸ™‚

Congrats on the new release, you must be super busy with promos etc…

I’ve heard ‘Scared Yet’ is a fab read, I’ll have to add it to my towering TBR pile.

Have a great weekend and hope you manage some reading time πŸ™‚

  2. Here in the UK we are leaving winter behind and changed our clocks last weekend to British Summer Time. We also experienced the hottest temperatures in March for many years, which is a real bonus.

Right now I’m struggling with the need to read a bit more of Gianni’s Pride, by Kim Lawrence and work on my own writing!

    Enjoy your weekend.

    • How lovely to be experiencing some nice warm weather, am sure you’re really enjoying it πŸ™‚

The juggle between reading and writing is always hard. Hope your writing is flowing.

      Enjoy your weekend πŸ™‚
